When is an annual vignette the best choice?
An annual vignette is suitable for drivers who use Czech motorways regularly throughout the year, for example for frequent commuting, business trips, journeys to a holiday home or repeated travel through the Czech Republic. If you would otherwise need to purchase 10-day or 30-day vignettes repeatedly during the year, a single annual vignette may be more cost-effective. It also eliminates the need to keep track of validity and purchase a new vignette before each subsequent journey.
365 days from the date you choose
The annual Czech vignette is no longer tied to the calendar year. It is valid for 365 days from your chosen start date. This means you can purchase it at any time during the year and benefit from its full validity period, regardless of the purchase date. You do not need to renew or replace the vignette during this period. It remains active and linked to your vehicle's registration number throughout its validity.
Lower prices for low-emission vehicles
The price of a Czech vignette varies depending on the vehicle's type of propulsion. With an annual vignette, the difference in price can be significant. Vehicles powered by natural gas (CNG or LNG) or biomethane pay half the standard price, plug-in hybrids with CO₂ emissions of up to 50 g/km pay one quarter of the price, while electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles are exempt from the vignette fee. When placing your order, check that the information retrieved based on the vehicle registration number corresponds to your vehicle.
